Co-Founder / Managing Partner
Ryan Back brings the perspective of an owner, operator, and problem-solver to Ledger & Level.
As a PuroClean franchise owner, Ryan has firsthand experience building and managing a multimillion-dollar restoration operation. His background spans mitigation, reconstruction, estimating, job costing, staffing, financial management, and the day-to-day challenges of running a restoration business.
Ryan’s strength is connecting the numbers to what is actually happening operationally. Through Ledger & Level, he helps restoration owners better understand profitability, improve job costing and estimating practices, strengthen workflows, and turn financial information into practical business decisions.
His firsthand experience within the PuroClean network allows him to approach clients not simply as a consultant, but as a fellow owner who understands the challenges they face.
Ryan co-founded Ledger & Level with Samantha Ebert around a simple idea: business owners shouldn’t just receive financial statements — they should understand what those numbers are telling them.

Samantha brings years of bookkeeping, HR, and tax preparation experience, along with firsthand restoration-industry knowledge, to Ledger & Level.
Samantha has owned and operated her own business for years and her time as an Office Manager at a PuroClean franchise gave her direct experience with job costing, reporting, staffing, and the daily demands of running a restoration business. That experience is what led me to start Ledger & Level with Ryan.
Samantha's strength is turning financial data into real understanding. Through Ledger & Level, she helps restoration owners see what their numbers actually mean, what's working, what's costing them, and where to improve.
Samantha enjoys helping owners actually understand what their numbers are telling them. Not just cleaner books, but real clarity on what's working and what's costing you.
